THE WORD WILL PREVAIL

“So mightily grew the word of God and prevailed.”

Acts 19:20

The Word of God is like an invasive plant. You put it on a good soil, and before you know it, it begins to spread. It begins to crawl into corners. It begins to touch areas you did not even expect. That is how the Word works. It just needs to be planted.

You may start by reading a few verses a day. You may start by listening to teachings. You may start by exposing your heart to the Word little by little. But before you know it, something on the inside of you begins to change.

The things you used to crave, you no longer crave the same way. The things you used to tolerate, you begin to feel uncomfortable around them. The things that used to control you begin to lose their grip.

Why? Because the Word is growing. And when the Word grows, it prevails.

That is why one of the strategies of the enemy is to keep you away from the Word. He uses guilt, shame, tiredness, busyness, distraction, and even boredom. He makes the Word feel difficult, far, or unattainable, because he knows that the moment the Word is introduced, it must prevail.

The Word cannot stay small. The Word carries the power to multiply itself. It carries the power to grow, spread, overtake, and overcome. Resolve in your heart, If I can introduce the Word to it, the Word can prevail over it. If I introduce the Word to my business, or home or children, my mind, my habits, my emotions, and my decisions, the Word will prevail.

But remember, it is the Word that will prevail, not your personal interpretation of it. Not what you assume God must do. Not what you are trying to force the Word to mean. The Word will accomplish what God sent it to accomplish.

So today, take this as a challenge. Plant the Word in every area of your life. Keep watering it. Keep exposing yourself to it. Keep returning to it. And you will see it grow.

So mightily will the Word grow, that it will prevail.

Prayer:

Father, thank You for the prevailing power of Your Word. Help me to plant Your Word in every area of my life. Let Your Word grow in me, overtake every weakness, and prevail over every situation. In Jesus’ name, amen.
