Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’ —ISAIAH 41:10
It is one thing for somebody to be for you, it’s another for them to be with you. Someone can be for you and be at a distance and although they are your supporters or defenders, they aren’t much help if you require them to be physically present.
For example, they are in the US and you have a problem in Nigeria. They can’t be in Nigeria and the US at the same time. So although you are feeling their support, when you need them to stand with you they can’t. Their support from that distance can help you emotionally but it may not help you practically in the situation that you are facing.
This is not so with God. God says I am on your side and I am by your side. He is not just on your side supporting you. He is standing right by your side so do not be afraid.
Decree
So decree that concerning yourself. God is with me. I have His presence and His help. He upholds me in righteousness with His hand and he strengthens me. Therefore I will not be afraid.
I have set the Lord always before me; Because He is at my right hand I shall not be moved. —PSALM 16:8
