DAY 7: THE SPIRIT OF THE LORD
The Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon Him, The Spirit of wisdom and understanding, The Spirit of counsel and might, The Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord.
Isaiah 11:2
This scripture was a prophecy about Jesus. How He would have the spirit of God upon Him and it will operate in various dimensions. Some call it the 7 spirits of God, but I believe that these other six simply describe the manifestation of this same Holyspirit they all stem from Him. (over the next few days we will look at all the manifestations of the spirit listed here) That spirit that rested upon Jesus is now within you. Jesus told us so.
”And I will ask the Father, and He will give you another Helper (Comforter, Advocate, Intercessor—Counselor, Strengthener, Standby), to be with you forever— the Spirit of Truth, whom the world cannot receive [and take to its heart] because it does not see Him or know Him, but you know Him because He (the Holy Spirit) remains with you continually and will be in you.“ – John 14:16-17 AMP
Jesus said he will send you another comforter. He is going to be there to teach you. He is there to help you. He is there to pray with you. He is there to strengthen you.
If you haven’t accepted Jesus, you cannot have the Holy Spirit, it is impossible. Yet, you can be born again and choose to live like God’s spirit is not in you. You can risk it and do life without the Holy Spirit, that’s on you. But my tribe and I don’t take that kind of risk because we know that we will need help that is beyond the help of man. And we know that this life is more spiritual than it is physical.
So this confession today is not because we do not have the Holy Spirit, we are declaring what is so that our heart can know it and, we can build our faith on this truth, not on falsehood.
Declare
The Spirit of the Lord is within me. Therefore, I am marvelously helped by God. I am not an orphan, I am not alone. I am comforted, counseled, interceded for, counseled, and strengthened all the days of this year and all the days of my life. Amen
