You’re not perfect, so you would definitely make mistakes, but the difference between you and the others is that instead of making excuses, you make amends. Thank God for the blood of Jesus that is available for us to be cleansed of all unrighteousness at any given time.  When God chastises you, He’s not trying to condemn you, He’s giving you an opportunity to come back. He’s telling you “I know what you did. I want you to repent so that I can bring you back into the warm embrace of my love”. 

When you give in to your fears, it will push you from frying pan to fire, instead of one line, you will cross ten. Because until that fear is eliminated, you will not feel comfortable with yourself.

Have you ever been angry at God? I have. And every time man is angry at God, it was them that messed up. In our text today, David was angry at the Lord.

Beloved, you wrestle not against flesh and blood. Your enemy is the devil, not your boss, colleague, pastor, or president. It should hurt your heart to see that those who carried God’s grace fell so far that they became tools in the hand of the enemy.

Beloved, life can be discouraging, to say the least. Sometimes it can feel like an avalanche of troubles has been unleashed on you and you are struggling to breathe. In these times, do what David did and encourage yourself in the Lord. That means finding your joy, hope, strength, and confidence again in God. How do you do that?
