NO FAULT, NO CHARGE

  • DAY 131
  • FAITH FILE: DANIEL
  • SCRIPTURE: DANIEL 6:1-5

“So the governors and satraps sought to find some charge against Daniel concerning the kingdom; but they could find no charge or fault, because he was faithful; nor was there any error or fault found in him. Then these men said, “We shall not find any charge against this Daniel unless we find it against him concerning the law of his God.”

Daniel 6:4-5 nkjv

In our study of people of courage in the Bible we find Daniel. This week we have been studying, not only the book, but the characters in it. We see these men exhibit great courage and faith on their journey and it is to be a sign and comfort to us. If men can be this courageous we can too. If you’ve missed any part of this study, click here to catch up.

There are so many takeaways from Daniel’s life but our text today is sobering. It seems that people of courage are always targets of some sort because of their faith and courage. Here we read that Daniel’s diligence was a hinderance to those he was put over and as a result they sought to displace him. These people tried everything they could try to get him to no avail. They checked his records and books, impeccable. They also probably checked his relationships, no dirt. I will also guess that they examined his words, habits and routines and found nothing to trap him with.

Check Yourself

This, my friends is the life of a man of faith. When he is examined, when he is checked and tested, there is no flaw in him. It is good to have courage to face troubles, it is profitable for you if you overcome anxiety through faith. But you can only claim to be a man of faith if the faith you profess is evident in your way of life. A life of faith is not to defeat giants and call forth things alone. It is also to live the way Jesus expects us to.

If your life was examined what will be found? Can it be said of you that there is no fault in you? I’m asking myself as well. Cyndy, will there be nothing if there search you? This question is not for you to answer me. I am not the one you answer to. Take a moment and examine yourself, let the answer be between you and your God. Take correction where needed and trust God for grace to continue in the areas you are excelling.

I Pray For You

You will not just be a person of faith in words alone, but in deeds also. When the busy bodies are searching for a way to fault you, they will find nothing in Jesus name.

Now ask the Lord for the grace to live a life of faith. To live a life that exemplifies the kingdom.

Shalom
