Love Loves Truth

“Love suffers long and is kind; love does not envy; love does not parade itself, is not puffed up;
does not behave rudely, does not seek its own, is not provoked, thinks no evil. does not rejoice in iniquity, but rejoices in the truth; ”

1 Corinthians 13:4–6 (NKJV)

The way of the world is to rejoice in iniquity. The world celebrates the unfaithful man who calls himself “polygamous in nature”. It calls it smart when a person secretly inflates a contract to make extra money. It admires the woman who is manipulative and controlling under the guise of feminism. Infact the list of things the worldcelebrates is endless. Just go online and see how ungodliness is celebrated. Sometimes it is loud applause. Other times, it is simply doing nothing and staying quiet.

But you that are in the Kingdom, that is not what you do.

Love does not rejoice in iniquity. It does not clap for what God calls sin. And again, sometimes “clapping” is not with your hands. Sometimes it is silence. It is seeing what is wrong and choosing to be comfortable with it because you do not want trouble.

God’s nature is different. The psalmist said, “You love righteousness and hate wickedness” (Psalm 45:7 NKJV). When the love of God is in you, injustice will not sit well with you. You will not endorse a friend who is living waywardly. You will not quietly protect compromise. You will not pretend not to see what is wrong.

Love does not hate people, but it will hate evil. The Bible says, “You are of purer eyes than to behold evil” (Habakkuk 1:13 NKJV). If His nature is in you, you will not be indifferent when darkness is thriving around you.

Beloved, love does not celebrate sin. It does not condone it. It rejoices in truth. It would rather stand alone with truth than be applauded for compromise. And Ibelieve fear is one of the reasons people don’t speak up.

So, ask the Lord for courage. Courage to stand. Courage to speak truth in love.

Love loves truth.

In Jesus’ name, Shalom.
