IT GOES BACK TO SENDER

  • DAY 134
  • FAITH FILE: DANIEL
  • SCRIPTURES: DANIEL 6:24

And the king gave the command, and they brought those men who had accused Daniel, and they cast them into the den of lions—them, their children, and their wives; and the lions overpowered them, and broke all their bones in pieces before they ever came to the bottom of the den.

The title of today’s devotional should have been, don’t mess with a man of faith. But I am writing to you and not to your foes. Yet that warning is still very relevant. God wants you to know that there is an end for those who come against you. They scheme and plot and get people in the place of authority involved just to defeat you. But can you guess what happens to them? They end up right where they thought you would end up.

The thing I have noticed in scripture is that evil plans always fail if they are aimed at the righteous. But sometimes it doesn’t disappear without prospering on someone else, mostly the orchestrator of said evil plan.

Backfired

When it was Shadrach and Co, the fire claimed those who came to throw them in. When it was against Modecai and Esther, Hamaan became a victim of his own gallows. Even when the philistines thought goliath was a good strategy against Israel, guess whose head was carried home? And when the enemy thought death was the best way to silence the Lord of glory, Christ Jesus, guess who got himself in a mess?  So it is in our text, the busybody chaldeans became meat to the lions.

No Weapon

So do you now see that you worry in vain when you face a difficult situation or threat? Because no weapon formed against you shall prosper. EVER! But you must not give in to fear. You must be a man of faith. Weapons are overcome through prayer. Daniel, David, Esther and Jesus that we mentioned above were victorious through prayer. If you must attain victory. Pray.

Decree right now, that whoever has set themselves against you shall be beneficiaries of their own devices in Jesus name. Amen

Shalom
