DAY 32: IN PLEASANT PLACES
When you go to buy land, you will be shown a boundary line that states where your land starts and stops. When you are given an inheritance of land, you are also told which is yours and which isn’t. The boundary tells you how far your property or inheritance extends.
Sometimes people end up with swampy land that gets easily water-logged and is therefore unsuitable for a house without it being filled and that will cost a good sum of money. Other times, it ends up being an infertile land and the goal was to start a farm there. Or the property is inaccessible or located in an unsafe area.
Whether the land was bought or given, chances are you’d feel like what you have is no good and you will not be pleased. But that is the case in our text today. Your portion or inheritance is good. When your inheritance was shared, you got the best part. Hallelujah!
The preceding verse tells us that the inheritance is pleasant because it is God (we will talk of this later) and it is also God that sustains your lot. However, this scripture doesn’t speak only of landed property or estate inheritance it covers everything in your life.
Your lot in life is pleasant. You have the best places. Whether you worked for it or not, that which falls to you can only be pleasant. You are not the one who will marry the abusive husband, it is not in your lot. It is not your portion to end up with wayward kids, an unfruitful business, a sick body, terrible friends, or a miserable life. No! Your portion is good. Lines have fallen for you in pleasant places.
Declare
Everything in my life is pleasant. Even when it doesn’t feel pleasant, I know it is pleasant because, in the end, it is for my good. The lot that has been set for me is the best. When people speak of me they say I always get the best things and they glorify God for me. I refuse unpleasantness in my life and shut the door against anything outside God’s best for me. In Jesus’ name, I declare that lines have fallen me in pleasant places.
Shalom.
I have a goodly heritage, hallelujah !🙌
