DAY 30: I WON’T WORRY

Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble.

Matthew 6:34

This is another way to condition your heart as you come into a new season. Because the truth is, things are going to happen that would want to bring anxiety into your heart. In this new year, you’re going to be tempted by fear.

When that deal is taking time to come through, or when what you are expecting doesn’t come through, you might be tempted to start feeling some kind of anxiety. However, if you position your heart ahead of time, you are telling your heart how it’s supposed to respond, by filling it with what the word of God says.

The Bible says, “Do not be anxious about anything,” no matter what it is, don’t be anxious about it. We also read in this chapter that God knows what we need and as such we should not concern ourselves with worry. So you need to tell your heart that from now on anxiety is not allowed. Make it a confession.

Declare

I will not be anxious in 2024. I will not be worried about any outcome in 2024. My heart will be at peace. My heart experiences unprecedented, unexpected, unexplainable peace that surpasses all understanding. I will not be worried. I shut the door of my heart against worry, anxiety, and all forms of fear in Jesus’ name. Amen.

Therefore do not worry or be anxious (perpetually uneasy, distracted), saying, ‘What are we going to eat?’ or ‘What are we going to drink?’ or ‘What are we going to wear?’ For the [pagan] Gentiles eagerly seek all these things; [but do not worry,] for your heavenly Father knows that you need them. –Matthew 6:31-32
