I WILL SURELY BE WITH YOU

And the Lord said to him, “Surely I will be with you, and you shall defeat the Midianites as one man.”

Judges 16:15

Most of us are fearful because we don’t understand the gravity of this promise. But imagine God opened your eyes to see a physical representation of this promise. Let’s say you turned around and saw someone with eyes of fire so big you couldn’t even measure his size, clothed in complete blinding light won’t you be afraid? This is what your circumstance sees when you show up on the scene with God as you’re backing. 

God said to Gideon, I will surely be with you and you will defeat an entire army and an entire people. And these people are stronger, greater and they are the oppressive. It will be next to impossible to fight them not to mention defeat them. Yet, God said you will defeat them As if You are defeating one person. Why? because I will be with you.

The presence of God is the assurance of victory!

Beloved, God doesn’t have the capacity to lie. It is not in his nature, so if he says, “I will be with you” He means exactly that. Yet he added an oath to this promise and swore by Himself when He used the word surely. That’s like a double digit promise. Know this, no matter what you face, no matter how tough it is, God can never, and we will never abandon you or leave you. He will always be with you, and nothing can change that. And the thing is, He’s not just with you He is for you. Men can be with you and still be against you, but not God. He’s on your side, So rest assured that you will come out on the other side victorious.

Here a couple scriptures to remind you of this promise.

Psalm 46:11 – The LORD of hosts is with us; The God of Jacob is our refuge.

Deuteronomy 31:6 – Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the LORD your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you.”

Isaiah 43:2 – When you pass through the waters, I will be with you; And through the rivers, they shall not overflow you. When you walk through the fire, you shall not be burned, Nor shall the flame scorch you.

Deuteronomy 20:1 – When you go out to battle against your enemies, and see horses and chariots and people more numerous than you, do not be afraid of them; for the LORD your God is with you, who brought you up from the land of Egypt.

Deuteronomy 20:4 – For the LORD your God is He who goes with you, to fight for you against your enemies, to save you.’

Isaiah 41:10 – Fear not, for I am with you; Be not dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, Yes, I will help you, I will uphold you with My righteous right hand.’

Isaiah 43:5 – Fear not, for I am with you; I will bring your descendants from the east, And gather you from the west;

Pray With Me

Father, I know that you will never leave me because your word says so. So I choose today to trust you and to walk confidently, knowing that the You are with me and You are on my side. In Jesus name. Amen
