DAY 40: I FLOURISH
Our text today starts by describing the qualities of a righteous man and the way that he conducts himself. This man separates himself from things that will contaminate and pollute his faith. He is conscious of his association and instead focuses his heart and mind on the word of God. This is what is recorded of him:
Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful; but his delight is in the law of the LORD, and in His law he meditates day and night. —Psalm 1:1-2
The Bible calls such a man blessed. He is so blessed that everything about his life is fruitful and flourishes. Because of his righteous conduct, he is planted by the rivers of water. He is always fruitful. There is no barrenness in his life. He is never dry. Even when it looks like he is in a dry spell by all human calculations he is still bearing fruits unto righteousness. Anything he does prospers.
As a righteous man, lack is out of order, it is in defiance of the word of God. So make this declaration today.
Decree
I am fruitful. I flourish in and out of season. My leaves don’t wither. No part of my life withers. I am planted by the rivers of living water, the rivers of God, and everything I do prospers. In Jesus’ name. Shalom
Shalom.
