DAY 51: I AM NOT FORSAKEN

And those who know Your name will put their trust in You; For You, Lord, have not forsaken those who seek You.

PSALM 9:10

When you get into a mess or a scandal, chances are people will leave you. They will leave you when you stop being who people expect you to be or catering to their every whim. Not God. He cannot forsake you and He cannot abandon or leave you.

Some of us didn’t even have to do anything to be abandoned. Our family may have thought we were a burden and they left us. Or maybe you loved someone but they left you and now you feel hurt, alone, rejected, and abandoned. God is saying, He will not do the same.

He says

And the LORD, He is the One who goes before you. He will be with you, He will not leave you nor forsake you; do not fear nor be dismayed.” –Deuteronomy 31:8

Can a woman forget her nursing child, And not have compassion on the son of her womb? Surely they may forget, Yet I will not forget you. See, I have inscribed you on the palms of My hands; Your walls are continually before Me. –Isaiah 49:15-16 

Declare

I am not abandoned, I am not forsaken. God accepts me, He chooses me, He cannot walk away from me. So be still my heart, you are not alone. Amen
