Hidden and Set

For in the time of trouble He shall hide me in His pavilion; In the secret place of His tabernacle He shall hide me; He shall set me high upon a rock.

PSALM 27:5

There is a time called the time of trouble, and God is saying in those times He shall hide you in the secret place of His pavilion. He takes you to a secret place where your troubles can’t find you. What makes this scripture even more interesting is that it is immediately followed by “He shall set you high upon a rock.”

“Dear God,” I’m wondering, “I thought the idea was to hide me so that trouble won’t find me, why am I upon a rock where I can be easily spotted?”

He doesn’t put you on a rock to expose you, He puts you there because you need to be levels above your troubles. Some troubles get to you because you haven’t elevated.

After you have been with Him in the secret place, waiting, fellowshiping, you can now mount up with wings as eagles and be set on high places. He hides you and sets you. And might I add that Christ is also a rock and if you are in Christ, even if you are visible you are still hidden.

Confession

I am hidden in God’s secret place. I’m hidden away in the time of trouble, hidden in the palms of the Lord, set apart and separated from all forms of my fear and i’m established upon The Rock in Jesus name amen
