DAY 70: GUARDED BY PEACE
And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.
PHILIPPIANS 4:7
If you have something precious, you would want to guard it. You would want to put security around it. There will be protection or security protocols because it is valuable. For example, your identity, or your bank account details have security protocols around it.
Your house probably has a gate, security personnel, a fence, or even surveillance cameras. The security protocols protect what’s on the inside from external intrusion or harm.
Your heart is the most valuable part of your existence.
“Guard your heart above all else, for it is the source of life.” Proverbs 4:23
The KJV says “Out of it flows the issues of life.” You guard your heart to protect it from pollution that could cause issues in your life. One of the ways to guard your heart is by peace. Peace is a security protocol for your heart.
It is a protection strategy for the heart that is troubled, worried, afraid, or weary. When fear wants to come from the outside, peace mounts a protection guard. It covers your heart so that fear and anxiety cannot find room to come in and dwell in your heart. Peace protects your heart from every form of fear and the way to get that peace is to pray.
So that you can have the protection and the guidance and the guardian of peace.
Declare
Speak over yourself. “I set peace as a protection around my heart. I speak peace over my heart and mind. I declare that the peace of the Lord is a guard and shield around my heart and I’m protected from fear. By peace, I shut the door against everything that is not God’s will for my life. I shut the door against everything that is fear, anxiety or worry in Jesus’ name. Amen.
