DAY 35: I WILL SEE GOODNESS

I would have lost heart, unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living.

PSALM 27:13 

Say this with me, I will see the goodness of God in the land of the living. Say it one more time, I will see the goodness of God, in the land of the living.

In our text today, our psalmist expresses his heart before God. Amid his fears and troubles surrounding him, he was confident enough to believe and declare that he would see God’s goodness regardless. It is easy to believe that you will see God’s goodness when you go to be with Him in heaven. It is another thing to believe that when it seems all odds are against you. This realization filled him with confidence in those tough times when he would have lost heart and courage. He chose to believe that God had programmed him to see goodness in the land of the living, here on earth. 

Beloved, God is saying that in this life, on this earth, you will see the goodness of God. So while you are living, even if it is not yet looking like goodness, it is not yet over because you have to see the goodness of God. If your life looks like one problem after another, if you can hold on to God and believe His word, you will see the goodness of God In the land of the living. 

Decree

No matter what I go through, I will see the goodness of God, in the land of the living. While I yet live I will see goodness in every area of my life. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
