DAY 141: THE RIGHT PATH
He leads me in the paths of righteousness, for His name’s sake.
PSALM 23:3b
There is a part for the flock and only The Shepherd knows it. The sheep don’t know it, so they can’t lead themselves in that way. Psalm 32:8 says, “I will instruct you and teach you in the way you should go; I will guide you with My eye.” The way you should go is the right path for you and it is found in righteousness.
God is personally invested in your end. So He sets you on the right path. The path that pleases Him. If you are in the sheepfold you get to enjoy the divine direction of God. you don’t have to be afraid as things unfold because you know your shepherd will make sure you arrive at the expected end. But it is for His namesake. He has sworn by himself now He has to watch over His word concerning you to perform it in your lifetime, that men may Glorify Him.
God has a stake in your life. He advertised His potency when He chose you as His own, now He cannot let you go down the wrong path. That’s why He introduces the rod and staff that we read about in verse 4.
Beloved, surrender to the leading of The Lord your shepherd. Follow His righteous path when you do, you don’t have to worry.
