DAY 136: TEACH ME TO PROFIT
”Thus says the Lord, your Redeemer, The Holy One of Israel: “I am the Lord your God, Who teaches you to profit, Who leads you by the way you should go.“
Isaiah 48:17 NKJV
It is God that gives you the wisdom to profit. Yes, I know you can go to school, learn the ones and zeros, and how to run a profitable business, but you cannot compare God’s wisdom to man’s limited wisdom. And nobody teaches like the Holy Spirit.
Some businesses make short-term profits, there are businesses run by Business school graduates that are falling. One insight from God changes the game for you. He can give you an instruction that doesn’t make any sense but it will be what blows up your little business.
The good news is God wants to teach you to profit. But you have to ask Him. “Father, teach me to profit. Open my eyes to steps I need to make to grow my business this generation.” He will open your eyes to see something you’re not seeing in that business. And when He does, obey.
It could be as simple as hiring new staff, changing packaging, or modifying a principle. Or as dicey as changing your modus operandi, getting a mentor, or taking a course. Whatever the instruction, obey.
Say, Lord, teach me to profit. Open my eyes and see the things that I’m not seeing. Open my eyes to the changes I need to make, the decisions I need to take, and the areas where my business is suffering. I trust you for wisdom to make my business turn a profit. And I believe you for that today in the name of Jesus. Amen.
