DAY 133: A PLOT AT WORK

‘Then these men said, “We shall not find any charge against this Daniel unless we find it against him concerning the law of his God.” All the governors of the kingdom, the administrators and satraps, the counselors and advisors, have consulted together to establish a royal statute and to make a firm decree, that whoever petitions any god or man for thirty days, except you, O king, shall be cast into the den of lions. Now, O king, establish the decree and sign the writing, so that it cannot be changed, according to the law of the Medes and Persians, which does not alter.” Therefore King Darius signed the written decree.’ “

Daniel 6:5,7-9

This is part two of what we started talking about yesterday and day 13 of declaring over the works of our hands.

Daniel’s faithfulness made him the target of an evil plot, orchestrated by the unfaithful satraps who wanted to get him out of the way so they could have their way. They couldn’t find any fault in him so they used his faith.

Daniel was not the last man who was plotted against for being faithful. To this day, faithful men are despised but what happens to the plots of the wicked? They fail eventually.

Sometimes, they might get delayed for promotion, demoted, or thrown in the lion’s den. But God ALWAYS sends victory in the end. And if He doesn’t it is better to be faithful to God than great before men.

If you are being sidelined in your business or job because of your integrity and faithfulness, God still shuts the mouth of lions. Your own is to go on boldly, keep being faithful, and see how He who sits in heaven shall arise and hold your enemies in derision. He will turn their devices upon just like he did for Daniel.

Confession

I am faithful even when it is difficult to be. I have the grace and courage to hold on to the principles of the Word at all times. Every plot and evil plan against me as a result of my faithfulness is overturned. Every device of the wicked against the work of my hands come to nothing it is voided and they shall not stand, in the name of Jesus. amen

Shalom
