DAY 104: THE BLESSING
Dear seed of Abraham, and heir according to his promise through Christ Jesus, the Lord has commanded a blessing upon you. He will bless you and keep you. He will make His face shine upon you.
That means He will look upon you favorably not angrily or with displeasure, No! He will look at you with delight. If you have an African parent, you would know what it means for your parent to look upon you with an unpleasant face. We understand momma’s words just from her look. And when your parent looks at you with a smile, something wells up inside you.
Your Heavenly Father will cause his face to shine upon you. He will show you his favor and pleasure. He is pleased with you and will be gracious to you.
May he lift his countenance towards you. That means you will not see his angry face. His mood with you will be light, not an angry face. He will no longer be mad with you. He will not be angry at you. But that’s not where this promise ends. He will also give you peace.
Peace is one of the most underrated blessings given to man. To have peace in your mind, spirit, soul, body and even your home is a blessing from God.
Confession
Beloved, declare God’s shalom over you and your house. Nothing missing, nothing broken. May the Lord smile at you continually and bless you with abundant favor. May you experience His shalom. In Jesus’ name amen
And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, because you obey the voice of the Lord your God: Blessed shall you be in the city, and blessed shall you be in the country. Blessed shall be the fruit of your body, the produce of your ground and the increase of your herds, the increase of your cattle and the offspring of your flocks. Blessed shall be your basket and your kneading bowl. —Deuteronomy 28:2-5
