21 In those days, as Mordecai was sitting at the king’s gate, Bigthan and Teresh, two of the king’s eunuchs, who guarded the threshold, became angry and sought to lay hands on King Ahasuerus. 22 And this came to the knowledge of Mordecai, and he told it to Queen Esther, and Esther told the king…

Queen Vashti also made a feast for the women in the royal palace which belonged to King Ahasuerus. On the seventh day, when the heart of the king was merry with wine, he commanded Mehuman, Biztha, Harbona, Bigtha, Abagtha, Zethar, and Carcas, seven eunuchs who served in the presence of King Ahasuerus, to bring Queen…

COURAGE TO REPENT

You’re not perfect, so you would definitely make mistakes, but the difference between you and the others is that instead of making excuses, you make amends. Thank God for the blood of Jesus that is available for us to be cleansed of all unrighteousness at any given time.  When God chastises you, He’s not trying to condemn you, He’s giving you an opportunity to come back. He’s telling you “I know what you did. I want you to repent so that I can bring you back into the warm embrace of my love”.

ENCOURAGE YOURSELF

ENCOURAGE YOURSELF

Beloved, life can be discouraging, to say the least. Sometimes it can feel like an avalanche of troubles has been unleashed on you and you are struggling to breathe. In these times, do what David did and encourage yourself in the Lord. That means finding your joy, hope, strength, and confidence again in God. How do you do that?

DEFY RELATIONS

DEFY RELATIONS

When we tell the story of the friendship between David and Jonathan, we seem to omit how much courage it must have taken for Jonathan to maintain a covenant with the one person his father hated the most. It took courage to defy blood relations and family ties. He had to endure the consequences of his covenant. The discomfort in the palace, the tension with his father, and the sneers from those loyal to the throne.
