PARTIAL OBEDIENCE
There is no such thing as partial obedience to God. It is all or nothing. We don’t get to pick and choose which instructions to follow and which to disregard, it is an insult to Him and a rebellion against Him.

You have to understand that the perhaps of God is far more reliable than the surely of men. No plan by any man can beat a plan of faith.
Has it ever happened to you that just as you succumbed to pressure and did what you shouldn’t have, you found the solution? Just as you did things your way, you discovered what God had prepared? If only it had come yesterday or even moments ago? And now what you have done is too late to be undone and you are stuck with the regret of your hasty actions. And ask yourself, why didn’t I wait?
Then Samuel said to the people, “Do not fear. You have done all this wickedness; yet do not turn aside from following the Lord, but serve the Lord with all your heart. And do not turn aside; for then you would go after empty things which cannot profit or deliver, for they are nothing. Beloved, what’s your record like? At your job, your school, your home, your relationships, even your leadership? Examine yourself.
Beloved, when God sends you on an unusual assignment, He gives you unusual courage to go along with it. So maybe that’s why nobody understands why you are so driven and passionate, it’s all in the plan.
Is this true with you too? Are you so terrified of your coronation that you rather hide? You are called to speak to the world, but there you are hiding behind that excuse. forgetting that nobody lights a candle to keep it hidden.
The worst thing God can say to me is “Do what you want.” It is a fear I do not want to get over. I never want to get to a point where God allows me to have my way because I have proven consistently that I will go His way or do His will, it’s my way or the highway. Ah! God forbid! I want to believe that nobody would want that. Yet, our text proves me wrong.
When we crave for something outside what God has given us what we are telling Him is that He made a wrong decision. What He offered us is not good enough and we would prefer if He withheld His unpleasant gift.
Sometimes we face our biggest threats when we decide to live for the Lord. It’s like the enemy launches an all out attack on us. And our hearts might begin to fear. Just like the children of Israel were afraid because of their enemies. We might wonder why we are facing this same enemy even after we made things right with God.
