Answer in Trouble

“May the Lord answer you in the day of trouble.”

Psalm 20:1 (NKJV)

There is a day called the day of trouble. It is that day when it feels like all of hell has gathered itself and decided to break loose on you at once. Everything hits at the same time. Your strength feels drained. Your options feel exhausted. Your voice feels weak.

It is the day when you are calling for your salvation, and it feels like your salvation is not hearing you. You are calling for help, and it feels like help is not responding. You are lifting your voice, but it feels like heaven is silent. You are crying out, but it feels like the sound of your prayer is returning to you.

That is why it is called the day of trouble.

In those moments, what you are really looking for is a safe place to run to. A place where your voice will not be ignored. A place where your cry will not be dismissed.

And that place is the Lord.

The prayer in this scripture is not intentional. “May the Lord answer you in the day of trouble.”

Not after the trouble.
Not when the trouble is over.
But in the day of trouble.

My prayer for you

I pray for you today that you will never lift up your voice to cry and not get an answer. I pray that the God who hears prayers, the God whose ears are attentive, will hear you by His mercy.

May He hear your prayers and bring forth answers.
May your heart be in tune with Him.
May your focus be fixed on Him.
May your prayers be aligned with His will, the kind of prayers that heaven responds to.

Because there are prayers that God answers speedily.
There are prayers that move His heart.
There are prayers that carry alignment, understanding, and trust.

So pray this prayer for yourself.
Pray this Psalm for yourself again and again.

Prayer

Lord, hear me in the day of prayer.
In the day of trouble, answer me from Your holy temple.
Respond to me speedily.

In the mighty name of Jesus,
Amen.
