DAY 15: A BETTER LATTER

Though your beginning was small, yet your latter end would increase abundantly.

Job 8:7

Last year someone sent me a message on Facebook saying, “Cyndy, I don’t think anything good can come out of my life because I’ve done so many bad things in my past.” This sister was convinced that there was nothing better ahead of her. The enemy had lied to her and although she had repented, God had forgiven her and she was living as she should, she was stuck in the fear of the future. She believed she was undeserving of anything good, so she was afraid that her life will only get worse. The devil is a cheap and annoying liar.

So many people share this fear in different ways. Some are afraid that their present state will never get better. That the days of little beginning is all that will ever happen in their life, they will struggle until they go to be with the Lord. Another poorly crafted lie. Our text says that your latter will be greater. So do not believe that lie for a second. Respond with the truth.

Declare

My beginning may look small, but my latter will be greater. This year will be better than last year. The blessings of this year will be greater than the blessings of last year. I will see the goodness of God in this year more than last year because the path of righteousness will shine brighter and brighter and so shall it be for me and my house in Jesus’ name. I have a better latter.

‘The glory of this latter temple shall be greater than the former,’ says the Lord of hosts. ‘And in this place I will give peace,’ says the Lord of hosts.”Haggai 2:9
