DAY 99: MAY MY WORDS BE ACCEPTABLE

”Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heart Be acceptable in Your sight, O Lord, my strength and my Redeemer.“

Psalms‬ ‭19‬:‭14‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

Notice those two phrases, words of my mouth and meditations of my heart. One is so easy to decipher. The words that you speak is easy for people to discern what you are saying by how you are saying it. But the meditation, not a lot of people can tell what you are meditating upon until you open your mouth. That’s why both of them go hand in hand. Because as a man thinks in his heart, so is he. And it is difficult for you to meditate upon something and it will not come out of your mouth.

The Bible says you will believe with your heart and confess with your mouth because both of them go together. No wonder the psalmist said this prayer. He desired that everything he thought and said would please God and be acceptable before the Lord.

Whatever we do, in word and deed has to bring glory to God. Our life is supposed to bring glory to God. And it starts even in the simple details as your thoughts and your words.

Let’s pray together today and ask that our mouths be guided. James talks about how the tongue is a little member but it has so much influence and power over our lives. So confess that scripture with your mouth today.

Declare

My tongue is guided. The words that proceed out of my mouth and the meditations of my heart are acceptable before the Lord. My mind is focused on God’s word and I meditate on it day and night. I present every word I will say today and every thought I will think today to you. May they bring glory to the Lord in Jesus’ name. Amen

Shalom
