DAY 90: POWER, LOVE, AND SOUND MIND
For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.
2 Timothy 1:7
In the place of fear, there is something that God gave you. He gave you love, power, and soundness of mind. Love because fear thrives where love is not known or made perfect. Understanding His perfect love, and embracing it will drive out fear.
Power, because fear weakens and drains you. But you have the same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead. That resurrection power is at work in you. Be it the fear of death, lack, depression, anxiety, doubt, etc. you have been given the power to drive it out of your life. In fact, God wants to show off His power through you.
I pray that you will continually experience the immeasurable greatness of God’s power made available to you through faith. Then your lives will be an advertisement of this immense power as it works through you! This is the mighty power that was released when God raised Christ from the dead and exalted him to the place of highest honor and supreme authority in the heavenly realm! –Ephesians 1:19-20
You have also received soundness of mind. Because the mind is one of the places the enemy fights us and torments us with fear the most. Often fear makes us irrational and erratic but a sound mind enables us to have self-control and the presence of mind to see fear for what it is and not allow it to dictate how we act or respond.
