DAY 79: UNAFRAID OF THE UNEXPECTED

Do not be afraid of sudden terror, for of trouble from the wicked when it comes; for the LORD will be your confidence, and will keep your foot from being caught.

PROVERBS 3:25-26

Some unfortunate incidents happen over time and there is a sudden one. You didn’t plan for it or see it coming. All of a sudden you wake up and you are facing the sudden terror. Much like what Job had to face. That day he woke up and all that he feared came upon him in one day. Everything that he owned in his life was gone. That is both sudden and terrifying.

Sudden terror can also happen when you wake up and hear that the goods that you are importing suddenly got damaged or lost. Or when you wake up to the smell of smoke on your roof. The Bible says that you should not be afraid of these unexpected situations that are designed to strike fear in your heart.

Why? Because He has a plan to deliver you from sudden terror. And from the trouble of the wicked when it comes. The trouble of the wicked will come. Terror will come. But the Lord will be your confidence and He will keep your foot from being stopped.

Do not be afraid. Let the Lord be your confidence. He will protect you, preserve you, and keep you safe.

Confession

The Lord is my confidence. I will not be afraid. When terror, unplanned, or unexpected situations come my way, I shall be delivered. Yes. When unexpected threats come I am safe and secure. In the name of Jesus. Amen.

You shall not be afraid of the terror by night, nor of the arrow that flies by day, nor of the pestilence that walks in darkness, nor of the destruction that lays waste at noonday. —PSALM 91:5-6
