DAY 59: HE HEARS

Now this is the confidence that we have in Him, that if we ask anything according to His will, He hears us. And if we know that He hears us, whatever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we have asked of Him.

1 John 5:14-15

God hears you. He’s not hard of hearing or deaf, He isn’t also playing favorites, or picking who He hears based on status or length of prayer. God hears and as He hears He answers. Now, you might be wondering why I would say that when you have prayer points written down that He hasn’t answered yet, and to that I say, “read the text again.”

Anything we ask according to His will, He hears us and we have our answers. We must first ensure that our prayers align with His will, if that is done and we ask in Jesus’ name we will have everything we ask for. We think God doesn’t hear or answer because He doesn’t always answer how or when we expect. He answers in His time and in His way and we must learn to trust His judgment.

Like John, the writer of our text, we ought to be confident in God’s nature and know, without a doubt, that He is eager to hear us and takes pleasure in answering our prayers.

Declare

God hears me. He is attentive to my call and my prayer. No prayer I have ever made according to His will is a waste, He will answer in due time. So find rest, my heart. Be patient, o my soul, for the Lord has heard you. Amen
