DAY 56: AND IT WAS SO

Then God said, “Let the waters under the heavens be gathered together into one place, and let the dry land appear”; and it was so.

GENESIS 1:9

In Genesis 1, we read an account of creation. God used His words to form a shapeless earth and call things to become. He said let there be light and light came to be. He called forth trees, oceans, land, and sea. Everything he said came to be.

Every time He says something it becomes. Why? Because everything, living and non-living, listens to and obeys God. Nothing has the capacity, the ability or the audacity to defy God’s word. If God says it, it must become.

We have an example in Abraham and Sarah, God said they were going to have children and although they laughed, although they doubted, although they were unsure of how this was going to be seeing that their body was old. In Genesis chapter 21 we read,

And the Lord visited Sarah as He had said, and the Lord did for Sarah as He had spoken. For Sarah conceived and bore Abraham a son in his old age, at the set time of which God had spoken to him. Genesis 21:1

Every word that God has spoken must come to pass. Every decree that God has passed must happen. There is nothing on the earth that can oppose God’s word. This applies to your life as well. Every word God has spoken to you, concerning you, or about you, must come to pass. His words cannot return to him void. It must accomplish the reason for which it was sent.

So don’t doubt God’s word. Don’t hesitate to carry out the instructions you need to see the fulfillment of God’s promise concerning you. God’s word is everlasting. God’s word can never change and is true no matter the circumstance.

Declare

Lord, I believe Your word concerning me and I decree that everything that You have said and decreed for me will come to pass. I hold on to the truth of Your word and I receive the fulfillment of the promises that You have made to me. Amen.

Shalom.
