DAY 27: STRENGTH IN WEAKNESS

And He said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for My strength is made perfect in weakness.

2 Corinthians 12:9

No matter how strong you are you will have weak moments. In the course of the year there will be moments when your emotions are not aligning with and moments when things are not going the way that you expect them to go. There will be times you make mistakes and times you feel unmotivated and exhausted.

God is saying that in those times and in those areas where you feel weak, incapable, or inadequate, you need to lean on His strength because it is made perfect in your weakness.

Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Everlasting God, the Lord, the Creator of the ends of the earth Does not become tired or grow weary; There is no searching of His understanding. He gives strength to the weary, And to him who has no might He increases power. Even youths grow weary and tired, And vigorous young men stumble badly, But those who wait for the Lord [who expect, look for, and hope in Him] Will gain new strength and renew their power. – Isaiah 40:28-31a

God doesn’t get tired, He doesn’t need a vacation, staycation, or a day off. He is never weak in His words or actions. Whereas, you get easily tired and weary repeatedly. But if you hope in God, your strength will be renewed and you will be able to do more than you have ever done.

Decree

The strength of God is made manifest in my weakness. Where I struggle, I have His strength upholding me. Therefore I have the ability to do much more than I have ever done. Teach my heart to rest in Your strength, O Lord, for You are the strength of my life. Amen

Shalom.
