DAY 19: THE PATH OF LIFE
You will show me the path of life; In Your presence is fullness of joy; At Your right hand are pleasures forevermore.
Psalm 16:11
There is a path that is called the path of life. This path is paved by the Word of God and leads to life everlasting. There is also a path or way of death or destruction. It is paved by your own way not God’s. The Bible says:
There is a way that seems right to a man, but its end is the way of death. – Proverbs 14:12
Death isn’t always the end of your physical life, it could be the end of your dream, that business, or that relationship. And what brings about death is mostly irreparable mistakes, things you cannot take back. Like partnering with the wrong person or marrying the wrong mate.
Death and destruction is the devil’s goal and playground. But Jesus came to give you life. Only Jesus knows the path of life. Only Him can show it to you and keep you in it. It is narrow and not easily taken but it brings life.
Declare
Speak over yourself today, say “I will seek and follow the path of life. I will follow the path that the Lord has prepared for me. My feet are steady and my stance is sure. I will not follow the path of destruction. In Jesus’ name, amen.
