DAY 11: I AM WISE
The Spirit of the Lord shall rest upon Him, The Spirit of wisdom and understanding, The Spirit of counsel and might, The Spirit of knowledge and of the fear of the Lord.
Isaiah 11:2
There is a reason why wisdom is the principal thing. Because you can have knowledge but if you don’t know when to use it or how to apply it, you lack wisdom. So many people are full of knowledge but they release their knowledge at the wrong time and they get themselves in trouble.
Wisdom speaks of having good judgment based on knowledge. The Bible says that wisdom is profitable to direct (Ecclesiastes 10:10). It will direct you in what to say, how to say it, and to whom it should be said.
Wisdom Directs
Wisdom is needed in every area of your life. It directs a husband that the time for logical conversation is not when the wife is emotionally distraught. He knows what to do to solve the issue but that knowledge released at that time will be unprofitable. Wisdom directs the businessman, the wife, the child, the boss, the colleague, and everyone. The interesting thing is that wisdom is available for everyone.
However, there is a wisdom dimension that only those who walk by the Spirit can access. Any man can ask God for wisdom but only the righteous can access the Spirit of wisdom. Wisdom of the Spirit can look like foolishness because God uses foolish things to confound the wise. So today we are not asking for wisdom that can be found in books and words of old. We are looking for the wisdom that only the Spirit can release.
So Declare
I am wise. The wisdom of the Spirit is manifested in my life. I make wise decisions; I have the Spirit of wisdom within me. I act wisely; I carry myself wisely. I invest wisely. I communicate wisely. I associate wisely. I move in wisdom all the days of my life. I sit with the wise this season and always. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
”If any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God, who gives to all liberally and without reproach, and it will be given to him.“ James 1:5 NKJV
