THE HOLY SPIRIT ANSWER

“Then the angel said to her, “Do not be afraid, Mary, for you have found favor with God. And behold, you will conceive in your womb and bring forth a Son, and shall call His name Jesus. Then Mary said to the angel, “How can this be, since I do not know a man?” And the angel answered and said to her, “The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Highest will overshadow you; therefore, also, that Holy One who is to be born will be called the Son of God.”
Luke 1:30-31, 34-35 NKJV
Our text today was born out of the conversation Mary had with the angel, who visited her to announce God’s plans for her. As incredible as this message is for your mind to conceive and grasp, imagine how it felt for Mary. “You will conceive?” And he precedes this announcement with the saying “Blessed are you amongst women.” What is blessed about being found pregnant before marriage in a society that will stone you for such? That will make you cursed not blessed.
Although what Mary was hearing was ridiculous, she summoned courage, not minding her fearful heart she asked God, how will this be? She looked at the reality of what was being said and realized that she didn’t have the capacity for what he was asking of her. So she asked, “How?” And the answer she received was the “Holy Spirit.” Beloved, the Holy Spirit is the answer for every how we might ask. He is the comforter and another helper, He is the power from on high, and He is the spirit and manifestation of the strength of God. Whenever we ask ‘how?’ we receive a dimension of the spirit.
When you ask the Lord, I don’t know how to do it. He says the Holy Spirit will give you direction. When you tell the Lord, I don’t know how to speak, He says the Holy Spirit will speak through you. If you tell the Lord, “I don’t know if I remember,” He says the Holy Spirit will remind you. When you say, I’m too afraid, He will say the Spirit of power, love, and sound mind will come upon you. The Holy Spirit is always the answer. So, Mary, the Holy Spirit is going to take care of it.
I decree that a manifestation of the Spirit that you have never experienced will awaken on the inside of you. For some of you, the Holy Spirit is about to come upon you for a new business idea, an outpouring for how to raise your family, or how to speak in public. The Spirit of the Lord is about to come upon you in a new way, in Jesus’ name.
